Engaged | Meghan & Pete

Meghan & Pete

Pete and I ran into each other my first year at Monmouth University . We ended up living in the same dorm on campus and we hung out together a lot. We remained friends throughout college, but it was not until after college that we actually started dating. Some years after Pete and I graduated, we were reconnected through a mutual friend. One night after grad-school Pete and I met up for coffee to chat and catch-up on old times. I let it slip that night that I had a small crush on him in school and it seemed he did too. After that night, our coffee night turned into a weekly ritual after class and progressed from there and we couldn’t be happier together.

Pete and I knew we were the ones for each other, and I just couldn’t wait to be engaged to him so after some pushing on my part, Pete decided to propose. The night of the proposal I was completely surprised. Pete came over to my shore house on a foggy overcast night and literally had to drag me down to the beach. We walked on the boardwalk for a bit, but I really wanted to go home because of the weather. Pete made me walk down to the water with him to look at the waves. It was there on our spot at the beach that he got down on one knee and asked the question and brought out the most beautiful ring. It looked exactly like the one I had always dreamed about. I was so overcome, I couldn’t believe it, he finally got me. He turned even the gloomiest night, into one of the best nights of my life.
