Gary and I met on Match.com. After a few lengthy phone calls, we met for dinner and 5 hours later, we didn't even realize they were closing the restaurant. I think I knew that night that I had found "the One".
Gary teased me relentlessly about getting engaged. He would ask about ring styles, then say we should wait before taking such a step.
On July 3, 2007, we had dinner at his parent's house. Afterwards, we took a drive to Spring Lake to check out fishing spots and found a romantic alcove to sit in. There, with ducks swimming by, he dropped to one knee and proposed. I was crying the whole time. In fact, the only time that entire night I stopped crying was when he put the ring on my finger. I was blown away at the ring, so different and so sparkly. All these months later, I still gaze at it constantly, not only because it is so beautiful, but because it signifies Gary's love, which means so much.
We are getting married on March 14, 2008, and I absolutely can't wait. I know that I am with the right person and look forward to our future together.
