Dan and Maggie

During a spell of warm weather, Dan and I decided after dinner we would take a walk on the Pt. Pleasant Beach boardwalk. I noticed he seemed awfully anxious- he already had his coat on while I was still cleaning the dishes! But I didn't think too much of it, and we headed to the boardwalk as planned. He had mentioned he wanted to walk out on the jetty, so we went out there & were taking in the view. I told him that when I was growing up, I remember people would write who they loved on the rocks. This gave him the perfect opportunity to pull out a bouquet of flowers he had hidden there earlier in the day, and tell me he loved ME! I thought it was just a sweet surprise he had planned, so he let me have that moment - before he got down on one knee and proposed.

Since Dan wanted to surprise me, he had to guess at the size of the ring and it did turn out to be slightly big. We went back to Bentley to get it resized and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I immediately understood why, out of all the jewelers Dan inquired at, he ultimately chose Bentley.
